Use mapquest.

It's 1660 miles round trip. Who cares how much gas you can get into your tank? - it's the usage we're interested in. If you get 20mpg, it'll take 83 gallons.

3 gallons I believe

Is it a good idea to travel to Oklahoma cIty on Friday and Sunday this week end(Jan 11th 2007)?
Since we are expecting freezing rain and stuff

Answer 1 :
Freezing rain? you are worried about a little freezing rain? Wuss!!! just drive slower and defensively, make sure your windshield fluid is topped up, and bring along a few blankets in case you get stopped behind an accident and get chilly.
Answer 2 :
I don't think it's EVER a good idea to go to OKC. I'd rather stay in TX and go to Dallas/Ft. Worth. We don't drink 3.2 beer.
Answer 3 :
Take it easy and go for it.
Answer 4 :
I think it would be dangerous - I'm in Wichita Falls and it is supposed to get really bad.
Answer 5 :
No, that freezing rain is now ice.
Answer 6 :
I would think about that carefully

About how do you stay on I-35 going north though oklahoma city

How do you stay on I-35 going north though oklahoma city?
Sounds simple but everytime I travel north though oklahoma city on my way to KC I end up off I-35 and lost trying to find it again. I always try to watch for the signs but it always happens. Anybody have any suggestions. (no I wont fly)
Other - United States - 3 Answers
People's Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
I understand your confusion. This has happened to me and I have ended up on I-40. While going north, watch for/and follow I-44 East signs until you have to make a choice of going to Tulsa on I-44 or Edmond/Stillwater/Wichita on I-35. Good Luck
Answer 2 :
My advice is to take 235 north to Edmond, turn right on East 2nd street and catch I-35N from there. It gets you out of the busy part of the city, and you should be in the free and clear by then.
Answer 3 :
When you are approaching downtown, I-35 exits right from the road... if you go straight, you wind up on I-235. After you exit, you're on a stretch of road that is both I-35 North and I-40 East. After a couple of miles. I-35 exits to the left, and from there you should have no problem. If you do wind up on I-235... and you know you are if you pass the State Capitol (it's the only freeway you can see it from), then take it up to East I-44, and take that to I-35.

About I live in oklahoma city, and traveling to tulsa on my motorcycle. do any turnpike toll rates apply

I live in oklahoma city, and traveling to tulsa on my motorcycle. do any turnpike toll rates apply?
i heard that they might be halving the car rate and applying that to motorcycles...i really dont want to pay on my bike and a pike pass seems silly for a motorcycle..easily stolen or lost so i would have to pay every time? i live in okc but going to shool in tulsa so ill be going back home often, do i pay the toll or take another route?
Motorcycles - 4 Answers

Answer 1 :
try to find another route, are you by any chance going to ORU????
Answer 2 :
Pay the toll or go another way, you can go up by Stillwater and go east or the round about way is thru Edmond on Old 66.
Answer 3 :
pay the toll, the toll road is well maintain plus you can really let loose as the speed on it is at least 70 -75.flat in areas and smooth in others
Answer 4 :
I believe it was Rep. Wesselhof who introduced a bill a couple of years ago to halve the toll for motorcycles, but I don't believe it ever passed. It all boils down to whatever is more important to you: time or money. The most direct route besides the Turner turpike is Route 66.

How long does it take to travel from Oklahoma City to China?

Answer 1 :
Assuming you plan to fly it will take about 18 hours or more, up to nearly 30. It really depends where you plan to fly from, where you plan to fly too, etc. Also, the least expensive tickets will usually, not always, be longer. But I would estimate around 20 hours. But the airports you will be using can really change the times. Hope this helps!

About what would it cost to travel from Oklahoma City, OK to Liskovo, Russia? And what would be needed

What would it cost to travel from Oklahoma City, OK to Liskovo, Russia? And what would be needed?
Liskovo Russia is somewhere within Nizhniy Novgorod area (east of Moscow) and I'm curious what it would cost to get there. Also, what would one need to travel to Russia, and how would it be obtained? How long is the process from beginning to getting whatpapers are needed? Is the process the same for a Russian coming to America? How long can one stay (either direction) on a visit?
Russia - 3 Answers
People's Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
Ticket price depends on when you will be traveling. Summers are always more expensive simply because no tourist in his right mind will go to Russia in the winter! So a ticket for the middle of summer might cost you somewhere around $1000. But don't forget that you will need to obtain a special Visa to get into Russia also, in order to get a visa you will have to have a good reason for coming to visit. Like if you're coming for a funeral you will be issued one visa and if you're a tourist you'll be issued another visa. Visa costs about $150 for ten days, you can get a visa for a month for about $250 (you can google this info too). Oh and don't forget your passport. That is all you need! The process is usually a couple of weeks, you can pay extra to expedite the visa and you can stay for as long as you have that visa. It is much more difficult for a Russian to come to the U.S. though, they also need a visa but the Russian government issues it in very extreme (or lucky) situations....like if that person can't find a job there and absolutely needs to come to America to work then maybe they will let, that's up to the Russian embassy, there is nothing you can do. It's difficult I know, I've been flying back and forth to Moscow my whole life!
Answer 2 :
You can be 3 monthes in Russia, and Russian province is not expensive and people are very kind there
Answer 3 :
In the summer and at holidays, airfare will cost you between $1400-1800 USD. In the "off season" (September-April) the airfare is $900-1200. You will need to take the train to Liskovo, but it is inexpensive. Staying in Liskovo will be fairly inexpensive as well, but book arrangements in advance if you can find them. Now, speaking only of toursite visa's to Russia... You really need to book your travel through a Russian specializing travel agency, as only documents issues by a travel agency registered with the Russian Federation are valid for visa applications. The length of a visa to visit Russia does not depend on how much you pay, as stated above. It depends ONLY on how long the Russian Embassy validates it for. The differences in cost only apply to how long it takes them to process your application. Russian tourist visas are good for NO MORE THAN ONE MONTH!! The length of time to obtain the visa depends on several factors, including having the proper documentation, and how much you pay. You can expect roughly 2 weeks if you do it through a travel agent. See here for specifics on what you need to submit: http://www.russianembassy.org/consulat/TOUR-VIS.HTM Anyone who disagrees with what I say can argue with the Russian Federation, as this information comes directly off their site (as well as my personal experience). As to coming to the US.. the Russian government does NOT issue visas for their citizens to come to the US, as stated above. US visas are issued by the US Embassy in Moscow. They are difficult to obtain, and depend greatly on the circumstances. You can not "find work here and they will give you a visa" - if a Russian "finds work" in the USA, the US company must apply for the work visa, and only about 50,000 visas are issued per year for work (H1 visas) and they go to highly skilled workers. See the US State Department website for visa information on coming to the US: http://www.state.gov/travelandbusiness

About how much for gas to travel to Tulsa from Oklahoma City

How much for gas to travel to Tulsa from Oklahoma City?
I live in Oklahoma City and wanted to travel to Tulsa to visit my girlfriend. I was wondering about how much it would cost for gas to travel there? excluding turnpike fees and rest stops. Also the car I will be driving is a 2005 Honda Civic. also plus cost to travel back.
Other - Cars & Transportation - 3 Answers
People's Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
Answer 1 :
it will cost a tankful of gas so anywhere from 30$ to 40$ depending on the size of your tank. it should take about 3 and a half to four hours depending on how fast you drive.
Answer 2 :
Well it is about 107 miles strait trip. And your car should get about 25 miles per gallon depending on traffic. So for fuel only your cost should be best guess 5 gallons times the price of gallon. Times that again by 2 if you are wanting round trip. If you plan to travel the city count on about 18 miles per gallon. If you want to add in some other factors. Consider the tire pressure, and maintenance of the car ie, regular oil changes, air filter, and breather valves. Hope this helped.
Answer 3 :
It should cost anywhere from $30 to $45 dollars for a full tank. You should be able to go round trip on no more than one tank. That includes driving around Tulsa while you are there. The toll is $3.50 each way, so $7.00 total. The drive should take you at least 1hour and 30 minutes. Watch out for the highway patrol.

About should i be concerned to travel to oklahoma city

Should i be concerned to travel to oklahoma city?
i'm a huge USA softball fan and at the end of july the world cup of softball is taking place in oklahoma city. i really want my parents to take me there for 3 or 4 days to go watch. i've never been to the midwest but i know oklahoma is in tornado alley. i've never experienced a tornado but i'm very scared of them. would the tornadoes in oklahoma be a reason of concern to not travel there?

Answer 1 :
uh...
Answer 2 :
no, there is probably 1 tornado per year, so you have a 1 in 364 chance of getting hit, let alone in the right area i think you should be good.
Answer 3 :
No. My grands live there and never got hurt.
Answer 4 :
no, its not like they're daily. People still manage to live there so a few days for a sports tournament should be fine.
Answer 5 :
of course not. and if there were to be one there would be a warning and it would be all over the news. so i dont think u have to be worried.
